In this article, Kim Bok-dong went to France and told how cruel Imperial Japanese Army did to her, comfort women, during Korean war. ("한국전쟁" means Korean War.)

Hey, hey! This is very odd! Korean War happened after the World War II! At that time, Japan did not have any army. Japan was occupied by USA from 1945 to 1952. Of course, Japan was disarmed. Korean war happened from 1950 to 1953. Japan didn't send its army into Korea at all!

Is Kim Bok-dong telling a lie? I guess it's yes and no.

Korean army also had a comfort woman system during Korean war. If Kim Bok-dong was really a comfort woman, it's highly possible that she was a comfort women of Korean and US army, not Imperial Japanese Army. She might be really a victim as a comfort woman, however the victimizer should not be Japanese Army, but it should be Korean and U.S. army.

Prostitutes in South Korea during Korean War are called "western princess" or Yanggongju (양공주 in Korean, 洋公主 in Japanese). They were initially called "comfort women" officially.

If you are not familiar with comfort women problem, please do not mix "comfort women" done by Japan during WWII and "westerm pricesses" during Korean war. The victimizer of "comfort women" is Japan, but Japan was totally irrelevant to "western princess" at all.

This is a really wise decision. Their aim to install comfort women memorials is purely an anti-Japanese act. It's not focusing women’s rights at all.

If Korean people really value women's rights, they should install a memorial for what they did in the past; it's Lai Đại Hàn. But they have never insisted to do so in history. What an ugly hypocrisy they do!

Dear clever people in U.S.A., please do not allow Koreans to involve your contry into conflicts between Korea and Japanese. Please do not join with Koreans in a plot to amplify anti-Japanese act. You will be used as a pretext for anti-Japanese. While women's rights is a pretext for their act already, Koreans are insulting women's rights.

It was not only Japan which introduced the same system. The South Korean Army and US Forces introduced the same system during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Yes, I agree with this statement. If you are a Korean citizen or US citizen and you think "comfort women" system is inhumane, please blame the government in your country first.

By the way, army of China, German and ex-Soviet had the same system as "comfort women" too. In my personal opinion, they were the same system but some of them seemed much worse than Japanese one in humanistic point of view. None of these countries compensate comfort women later. (While you may be surprised, but Japan did.)

Japanese Communist Party Urged Negotiation For Comfort Women Problem

Shinbun Akahata, a political news paper provided by Japanese Communist Party reported that Mr. Kazuo Shii, the head of Japanese Communist Party, urged Japanese government to negotiate with South Korea about comfort women, according to Treaty on Basic Relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea: 「慰安婦」問題/日韓請求権協定にもとづく交渉による解決を/志位委員長

This is a Japanese news post on Feb 10, 2013. For those who cannot read Japanese, I pickup the most important (and funny) thing in this post. That is, Mr. Shii says that "A comfort women problem became a political issue in the 1990s."

As you know, World War II ended in 1945. According his claim, it had not been a problem at all before 1990. Such a long time! Why? Because the story was faked on May 22, 1991 by Asahi Shinbun, a left wing news paper in Japan.

Asahi Shinbun, Japanese Communist Part and anti-Japan country, Korea, shared a mutual interest at that time. Now, it has been continuing yet.

If you support South Korean's comfort women campaign, it will benefit Japanese Communist Party. Please consider what it really is. It's an insidious political act!

By the way, Treaty on Basic Relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea was concluded like this: With the Treaty, the agreements between Japan and Korea concerning the settlement of problems in regard to property and claims and economic cooperation was also signed. By this Agreement, Japan conducted a large-scale economic cooperation, including cooperation huge amount of money to Korea and problems in regard to property and claims between Japan and Korea has been settled completely and finally.

According to Mr. Shii's logic, comfort women problem should be come up, because the problem became a political issue in the 1990s, it was after 1965, conclusion of Treaty on Basic Relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea. What a ridiculous logic! He's clearly ignoring the law! Treaty on Basic Relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea was signed in 1965, it was 20 years after the war. If Koreans really think that the comfort women problem should be compensated, they should include the topic in the treaty, as they had much time to do so! It was Korean government responsibility to do so. Why didn't they do so? Because no such problem really existed at that time. Why? Because it's a fake! It's an insidious political act!

If you are blaming Japan regarding to comfort women based on an image that comfort women were mostly Koreans and they were sex slaves just like dogs, please read this post and correct your image. Fake Photo

A Korean news wrote an article to criticize Japan as fake massacre following an earthquake in 1923. The ugly article is: Released photos appear to show Korean victims of past Japanese massacre

The photo is totally a fake! Of course, so the story is!

The photo has several odd things which we Japanese can clearly distinguish.

Firstly, the photo has a date at the top of frame as "大正十二年九月一日". This is totally odd. In old days, Japanese hardly wrote letters horizontally. They wrote vertically in most cases! Even if they wrote letters horizontally, they wrote from right to left, it's different from what we do. (We usually write from left to right.) So, it should be at least 日一月九年二十正大. Jeong Seong-gil should not know the fact.

The second, how can we determine people in the photo are Koreans? In the article, they say "dozens of corpses are on the ground, with their lower bodies exposed." He shouldn't know the fact that Japanese people didin't wear pants in the era when Great Kanto Earthquake happened! Lower bodies exposed? It's not surprising at all!

Finally, the article says Jeong Seong-gil released this photo recently. It's so funny! The photo has been in the collection of the following recearch center's archives for long time: Tohoku University Of Art & Design - Tohoku Colture Research Center Archives

This photo is known as a photo for victims of the fire at Yoshiwara, the largest red-light district in old Japan. You can see that the photo in the research center has some area around which the fake photo doesn't has. It's impossible to draw imaginary picture in spaces around the original photo seamlessly like this. Thus, it's absolutely clear which is a fake.

Please do not be deceived by Korean fakes!

Even tough, Jeong Seong-gil is still insisting that his photo is the original photo! What does this mean? I have never heard that there is an original thing for a photo. Photos can be printed using films. Does he have the film?

This fake photo should be published by Korean media in order to back up the Korean fake story of massacre during Great Kanto Earthquake. Koreans shamelessly insist that Japanese government massacred Koreans in Japan during Great Kanto Earthquake. Certainly, it's a fake story. Koreans say Japanese government or people killed innocent Koreans, so Japanese were cruel! This is not true. Actually, some Koreans are killed. But it was because Koreans became a mob after the earthquake. Koreans firstly killed Japanese people, raped young Japanese girl, torched buildings and ravened stuffs.  They did this when Japanese people were suffering due to the quake. This was a abhorrent terrorist act! All of Japanese news papers reported this painful affair at that time. Korean government is eager to rascally deny this disadvantageous fact by faking lots of stuff.

Again, please do not deceived by Korean fakes!

Comfort Women Were Not Slaves Like A Dog On A Leash

You can see why we think comfort women are not sex slaves by watching the following youtube video. Please watch this video if you have not. Before you think about comfort women problem, this video is a must!



Two former comfort women appear in this video. First case is 金学順, or Kim Hak-sun. She was sold to sex parlor by her mother for 40 yen. She was not kidnapped by Japanese military! It was of course unfortunate, but it was not a responsibility of Japanese military that she became a sex worker.

The second case is 文玉珠. I don't know how to write her name in English. She earned amazingly 26000 yen in two years, when she was a comfort woman. At that time, a house in Tokyo costed about 5000 yen. She was able to buy 5 houses! We should not regard such a sex worker as a sex slave. She got rewarded well for her sex job. By the way, a soldier, rank-and-file, earned 15 yen per month in the same period. How rich she was!

Please do not deceived by those activists who blame Japan for comfort women. They have a political intent, which is evil for Japan. Hear voices of both sides. Fairness is the most important. Don't be an accomplice in such an activity, which is based on statements which are totally different from truth. If you do, it will be a shame for you.

Worth Of Apology

In my opinion, apology is worthy only when the target knows what apology is. A person who knows it shall express apology when he/she does something wrong.

Have you ever seen that Korea expressed any apology? I have never seen before!

According to by SCAP, also known as GHQ, those Korean people who lived in Japan killed more than 4000 Japanese people after the World War II. They reviled Japanese people like "Japan was defeated. Korea won the war!" Right after the war, Japanese police were disarmed and there were only women and children. Thus, Korean male riots easily killed the weak people. I'm really angried about this affair. I have never heard Koreans express any apology for it before.

Why so many Korean people were in Japan? Because Japan and Korea were a same nation due to Japan's Annexation of Korea. Korean soldiers faught within Japanese military, killed lots of enemies, had sex with comfort women. While Japan was defeted on World War II, Korea also had a part of responsibility for the war. Have you ever heard that Koreans expressed apology for World War II?

After the World War II, Korea passionately attempted to extend their activity sphere. When Japan was disarmed, Korea declared Syngman Rhee Line unilaterally. Due to this lawless affair, 3929 Japanese people were arrested, of whom 44 were killed, and 328 Japanese ships were seized! This was not a war. I have never heard Koreans expressed any apology for this affair! What is even worse, they still claim sovereignty over Takeshima. Syngman Rhee Line is of course void in the current international law!

When we talk about Korea's responsibility for the war, "Lai Đại Hàn" is a must topic. See what Korean soldiers did during the Vietnam War! Have you ever seen Korea expressed apology to Vietnam? I have never seen before.

Conclusion: Koreans do not know what apology is at all. Before blaming Japan for comfort women (they were sex workers, not sex slaves), Korea government should express apology against what they did in the past. It's not worthy to express apology against those who do not know what apology is.

Feel Apology?

Do you feel any apology when you are criticized by a sin which you really didn't do? I will not feel any apology at all! Instead, I will feel anger.

Of course, I mention about the story of comfort women's sex slavery. It's a terrible dishonor based on a fiction!

When talking about comfort women, the story written by a Japanese ex-soldier, Seiji Yoshida, is often referred as the evidence for sex slavery. Before he published the book "My war crimes", Korea did not criticize about comfrot women. Korea's claim is often based on the book. However, surprisingly, we know today that the story is a fiction! Seiji Yoshida admitted it on May 29, 1996.

Why the story is still believed by people? It's because Seiji Yoshida's book was really popular amongst left wings in Japan, who were strongly connected to North Korea and China. Asahi news paper, where lots of left wing reporters belong, published an interview with Seiji Yoshida on 1991, then the book was widely known to people in Japan and Korea. The book was often used as a material for extortion against the Japanese government, left wing news papers blamed the government violently, consensus was twisted. The government was forced lots of compromise with Korea due to the fiction story.

Japan is criticized by a fiction for long time. Can you imagine how much anger Japanese people are feeling? No room for apology.

What Really Is A Comfort Women?

Whilst South Korean government energetically blames Japan for "comfort women" thing recently, what really is "comfort women"? I guess that many people think it's an appellation for sex slaves abducted by Japanese military from Korea during World War II. Do you think so too? First of all, I insist it's a totally wrong image!

Is a comfort women story a fiction? No, I don't think so. Of course, they actually existed. However, the problem is that they were not like what South Korean government says!

The most significant truth what I want you to know is vast majority of comfort women were Japanese. There were Korean women as well, but they were not majority.

Additionally speaking, Korea as a nation, both South and North, didn't exist at that time. It was a part of Japan. As a consequence, Japanese military force employed lots of Korean men as soldiers. Of course, they were eligible to get service from comfort women. South Korean government should blame not only Japan, but also Korea itself.

During World War II, it was an era of patriotism in Japan. Soldiers fought for the nation and people spared no aid for them. Comfort women are self-sacrificed women to aid soldiers to encourage them. Why they did such thing? Because they thought it benefit the nation.

You know, comfort women's job was totally a risky mission because they had to do their job near battlefields where soldiers were fighting. Of course, their activities are far limited there compared to safe places. Due to such reasons, comfort women were well rewarded, or paid in other words.

Due to the fact that comfort women were well paid, it is true too that lots of women contracted for money, not for patriotism. Lots of those women unwillingly became comfort women who suffered with poverty or debt.

If you have read the report above, you must find this statement isn't accurate. Comfort women were not those women who were captured by Japanese military and forced to do so. They became comfort women with contracts with their intent, regardless of whether they were happy to do or not. The job was well paid. Do you regard such well paid people as slaves? I believe you don't unless you protest against sex for money itself.

Popular but wrong criticism against comfort women is they were abducted by Japanese military, as I stated at the beginning of this entry. The military didn't directly recruit comfort women, but agents did on behalf. Since they were not government people, they didn't have rights to forcibly hold people unlike governmental organization. So, "Japanese military abducted young women for sexual slavery" is a totally wrong image.
